Pitt Meadows Arena
During the design phase of Pitt Meadows Arena, two design alternatives were provided with detailed budgeting for review and approval by City Council. The design allowed for public access during the construction period. Elemental worked closely with the City to obtain $1 million in funding from the federal government RInC program and assisted with obtaining quotations for energy studies. Funding for the studies were reimbursed by Power Smart/BC Hydro and incentives were received for arena lighting upgrades and replacement of the refrigeration, evaporative condenser, and mechanical HVAC equipment. Pitt Meadows Arena is the winner of the 2013 RFABC Outstanding Recreational Facility Award.
