False Creek Elementary School
A prominent Vancouver architect, Richard Henriquez, designed this beautiful school in False Creek. The task was to respect the original architect's vision while re-mediating the cladding systems to ensure durability within the Vancouver climate. The design and construction were executed while the school was fully functioning. Terra Shimbashi, founder of Elemental Architecture & Interiors Inc., was consulting for Morrison Hershfield Ltd. as project architect and building envelope professional at the time of this project.
